The legendary anime cartoon series that made thousands of 90’s kids cry buckets of tears is back in the Kapamilya Network this January 2015.
Nello and his loving dog Patrasche (or simply pronounced by Pinoy kids as “Patras”), together with their Lolo Jehann, will be back this 2015 in the cartoon dramatically called as A Dog of Flanders.
It’s the struggle of a poor boy and his loyal dog back in the old times. This is based on the novel of the same title by Ouida set in Belgium. This anime cartoon series was first shown in PH back in the early 90’s around 1993 or 1994. Without much cable TV back then, kids were hooked to watching cartoons early in the morning right after that long, boring Hongkong (or Chinese) business news (remember that?). This cartoon series touched the hearts of millions of 90s kids being able to relate to the poor little milk-delivering boy Nello who was gifted of drawing/sketching pictures, and loved his dog so much.
Unfortunately, the beautiful story of friendship ends in a very sad tragic story that broke the hearts of millions of kids, making this cartoon sooo memorable to 90’s kids.
A Dog Of Flanders will begin airing on January 5, 2015, 930AM weekdays.
